I owe my strength to the power of dance!!!

 

Middy,  has been teaching dance and exercise for 25 years.  She is a professional dancer, choreographer, actress, model, and for 20 years, Director of Dance and Body Studio, which was located in Miami.  Middy is a former member of Dance Educators of America. She has studied dance at numerous dance studios and with numerous teachers and choreographers.  She teaches ballet, jazz, tap, yoga,  flamenco, belly dance, modeling , acting, salsa, merengue, cha cha, disco, tango and swing.  She is the former lead dancer and choreographer of Nestor Cabel and Company, where she performed every weekend for thirteen years.  She was also lead dancer of "Las Jardineras", a comparsa group that performed at street festivals and parades such as the "King Orange Bowl Parade" and "Calle Ocho", in the 80s.  She is the female dancer of the dance couple,  from which "Calle Ocho" devised their logo.  Middy has choreographed for singers such as "Franco" and for band leader, "Cheito".  Middy directed and choreographed for "The Rhythm Dancers", a dance group that performs at festivals, parades, malls, fairs, and private parties.  They have also performed at "Disney World and "Universal Studios", in Orlando, Florida.

Middy has appeared in "Que Pasa USA", "Que Casa Mi Casa", on numerous television talk shows, and she has done many commercials and international ads. She has also appeared in newspapers, magazines and national posters; her latest in the magazines are:, "Dancer", and "Dance Teacher Now". Her latest in television appearances: "Despierta America, "Control", "Personalidades Y Sociedad, "Atrevido", and two feature stories on belly dance shown on  Miami's channel "51". Middy has received two ACCA awards, one for best dancer in a musical and another for acting in comedy skits. She has also won beauty pageants and modeling awards.

Middy has written small comedy skits, which were performed in her school’s recitals.

Middy devised "Salsacisesm",  a fun way to exercise with Latin music and fun props.  Salsacisesm  received its service mark in the State of Florida, in 1986.  She also has produced her own exercise video.  Middy now applies her salsacise techniques to American music and it is very much enjoyed by her Palm Beach students.

Middy judged at the Dade County Youth Fair competitions for 15 years.

Middy teaches at:  private communities in Boynton Beach;  and several classes at  the Boynton Beach Community High School.
